Rossville's girls basketball team outlasted Mid-East League foe Wabaunsee 56-53 in overtime Monday night, improving to .
Monday's game was close thorughout, with the Bulldawgs leading 17-15 at the end of the first quarter before Wabaunsee took a 32-28 advantage at the half.
Rossville used a 13-9 third quarter to tie the contest at 41 and the game was deadlocked 51-all at the end of regullation before the Bulldawgs outscored the Chargers 5-2 in the OT.
Rossville had three double-figure scorers, led by freshman Kinsey Perine with 16 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Freshman Emma Mitchell added 12 points and senior Julia Streit 10 points.
Freshman Kaci Meseke led Wabaunsee (6-12) with 17 points while senior Madisyn Wertzberger added 15 points and freshman Taryn Maike 11.
MANHATTAN GIRLS 66, HIGHLAND PARK 32
Sophomore Avery Larson led Manhattan with 19 points and freshman Maxine Doering added 18 as the Indians put the Scots away in the second half to take a 66-32 Centennial League victory Monday night at Highland Park.
Highland Park trailed 9-3 at the end of the opening quarter and 27-14 at halftime, but the Scots were outscored 39-18 in the second half as Manhattan improved to 9-9 overall and 8-6 in the Centennial League.
Senior Isabella Carter scored a game-high 20 points for Highland Park (0-14, 0-13) while junior Aisya Taylor added 9 points.
CAIR PARAVEL GIRLS 38, KANSAS CITY CHRISTIAN 36
Junior Jaley Barkley scored 25 points and 7-8 Cair Paravel rallied for a 38-36 road win over Kansas City Christian.
KC Christian (10-9) led 10-3 at the end of the first quarter, but Cair Paravel cut its deficit to a point at the half and took the lead with a 10-3 third quarter.
