Five Silver Lake and Rossville softball standouts earned first-team honors on the All-Big-East League softball team, led by Silver Lake senior Kendra Cook, a unanmous pick at pitcher after helping lead the Eagles to a second straight runnerup finish in the Class 3A state tournament.

Cook was joined on the first team by teammates Kailyn Hanni, a junior outfielder, and senior infielders Taylor Zordel and Kira Lowrey.

Rossville freshman Falyn Clurman was a first-team All-Big-East pick at utility/designated hitter.

Earning second-team recognition were Silver Lake sophomore outfielder Savanah Wende, Rossville sophomore outfielder Nora Burdiek and Bulldawg junior infielder Brooke Springer.
