The Cair Paravel Latin boys basketball team finished off its dominating run to the championship in the Flint Hills League Tournament Friday in Emporia, taking a 64-47 win over Osage City in White Auditorium.

The Lions, ranked No. 8 in Class 2A by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association, posted three double-digit victories in the tournament, improving to 11-2 on the season.
"Proud of these guys,'' Cair Paravel coach Chip Kueffer said. "Great memory for these young men.''
Cair Paravel, which has now won eight straight games, jumped out in front 20-12 in the opening quarter and led by 10 points (37-27) at halftime before finishing off the win with a 27-20 scoring advantage in the second half.
Senior Caleb Cleverdon paced a balanced attack for Cair Paravel with 14 points while sophomore Blaine Durbin added 13 points, senior Lucas Marichal 11, senior Drew Fay 10 and sophomore Chase Hastert 9 points.
Friday's win followed up a 64-30 first-round win over West Franklin and a 60-45 semifinal win over Lyndon.
Durbin scored a team-high 60 points on the week, including a 30-point, 13 rebound double-double against Lyndon.
Cair Paravel is scheduled to return to action Tuesday at home against Centralia.
Eagles improve to 13-0 with Burlington girls title run
Top-ranked (Class 3A) Silver Lake rolled to the girls championship in the Burlington Invitational, improving to 13-0 on the season with Friday's 60-35 win over host Burlington in the title game.
Friday's game was the Eagles' closest game of the tournament, with Silver Lake opening with a 33-point win over Paola (61-28) and taking a 27-point semifinal win over Girard (57-30).
Silver Lake sophomore Kailyn Hanni and sophomore Karys Deiter were named to the all-tournament team.
The Eagles will return to action Tuesday at home against Rock Creek.
Rossville girls claim Jefferson North title as Dick reaches career milestone
Rossville claimed the girls championship in the Jefferson County North Invitational with a 59-51 win over Oskaloosa Friday night as senior Rylee Dick scored 15 points to move into the No. 2 spot all-time on Rossville's career scoring list with 1,310 points.
Junior Nora Burdiek paced the Bulldawgs with 20 points while Bristol Miller added 15 points.
Dick and Burdiek were named to the all-tournament team.
Silver Lake boys top Burlington in OT
Silver Lake's boys bounced back from a first-round loss to Paola with two straight wins in the Burlington Invitational, including Friday's 68-63 overtime win over host Burlington.
Now 10-3 on the season, Silver Lake will host Rock Creek on Tuesday.
Rural boys roll to 32-point victory over Pittsburg
Washburn Rural's boys bounced back from a loss to Branson, Mo. to rout tournament host Pittsburg 74-42 on Friday.
Now 8-4 on the season, the Junior Blues will return to action on Tuesday, hosting Seaman in a non-league game.
Viking boys take 56-51 win over Free State
After dropping a two-point opening-round game to Hutchinson in the McPherson Invitational, No. 2-ranked (Class 5A) Seaman outlasted Lawrence Free State 56-51 on Friday, improving to 9-2 on the season.
Lady Lions top Council Grove, 41-28
Cair Paravel's girls finished off Flint Hills League Tournament play with a 41-28 win over Council Grove in the seventh-place game Friday at Emporia's White Auditorium.
London Backman paced the Lions with 14 points.
Cair Paravel will return to action Tuesday, hosting Centralia.
