Topeka High's softball team continued its dominating undefeated season Wednesday at Emporia, rolling to a 10-0, 27-8 Centennial League sweep over the Spartans.

Trojan junior NiJaree Canady and sophomore Quincy Smith combined on a no-hitter in the first game, with Canady striking out 13 and issuing four walks before Smith came on to pitch the seventh inning, striking out two.

Senior catcher Zoe Caryl went 5 for 5 in the opener, with a home run, a double and four runs batted in while sophomore Adisyn Caryl was 4 for 4 with two RBI and Elycia Joyce and Smith doubled as Topeka High had 16 hits in the game.

Emporia held Topeka High scoreless through the first two innings, but the Trojans scored a run in the third, five in the fourth, two in the fifth and a run in both the sixth and seventh frames.

Topeka High jumped out in front in the nightcap with eight runs in the first inning, but Emporia got back in the game with six runs in the bottom of the fifth, cutting its deficit to 12-8, before the Trojans scored 15 runs in the top of the seventh.

Zoe Caryl went 4 for 6 in the second game with two doubles and a triple and eight RBI while Canady had two home runs and a double and five RBI.

Joyce also knocked in five runs in the game with two triples and a double while Adisyn Caryl and Tatum Wilson had two doubles apiece as the Trojans finished with 23 hits.

Smith went the distance for the pitching win.
