Mead, a Santa Fe Trail product, is the first All-American selection for the Ichabod softball team since 2002.

After being named first team All-D2CCCA Central Region and second-team all-Central Region by the NFCA, Mead picked up first-team D2CCA honors as voted on by the region's sports information directors, was named the top freshman in the MIAA and a first-team All-MIAA selection this season after leading the league in total hits (73) and was second overall in batting average (.453) and runs scored (45) and third in on-base percentage (.480) and stolen bases (22).

Mead was the fourth Ichabod to receive the MIAA Freshman of the Year award after starting all 46 games.

She was a perfect 22 for 22 in stolen base attempts while also recording 28 runs batted in and seven home runs.

Mead's batting average this past season ranks third on the Ichabod single-season chart and her 47 runs scored were eighth and 73 hits seventh. She also had 29 multi-hit games and ended her season leading the nation in hits and was 15th in total bases.

Mead is the first Ichabod to earn first team all-region honors since 2018 from CoSIDA and only the second overall.

Mead is WU's first All-American since Kristen Cheney was a third-team selection in 2002.
